This exclusive exhibition, coinciding with the Hong Kong art week, brought together over 20 iconic works of Chinese contemporary artist Liu Ye from various periods along with several works by the surrealist master René Magritte.
The showcase, held at High Peak, was accompanied by a selection of modern Chinese poetry curated by Kevin Cheng, Chairman of Christie’s Asia Pacific, to reveal the pivotal role poetry plays in both artists’ pictorial worlds.
A very special thanks to High Peak for the partnership, Nuovo for the furniture pairing, and everyone who came to the show. Watch the video and join us in reminiscing the wonderful resonance of Liu Ye’s paintings and modern literature.
