With the Euvira Lounge Chair, Jader Almeida continues the tradition of the great Brazilian design masters of the 1960s and 1970s with superior ease; at the same time, he finds his own individual and contemporary expression of an elegant lounge chair. The concisely shaped forms, fi nely orchestrated lines and transitions between thickening and tapering materials lend the chair a solid yet elegant appearance. The cord-covered surfaces create a graphic play of lines, providing the chair with both transparency and high seating comfort. The Lounge Chair is a member of the Euvira product family, which also includes a rocking chair. Together, the various versions are reminiscent of the 1960s club culture in living rooms, hotel rooms or lobbies and demonstrate the skills of contemporary craftsmanship. In dark stained oak with black cord, the Euvira Lounge Chair most clearly refers to the origins of its designer.
